The Lake, 2011

Lots of Loon action at the lake this year.

The baby was swimming from day one. Mom & Dad were
vigilant.

See the little fuzz bucket in the front?

Kyle was pretty loony, too.

Piggy back protection.

The whole family enjoyed the fireworks, and GG's sound effects.

Bald Eagles

Albino Peacocks

Kyle's (and Scott's) first Minoquabats show. Kyle spent
days trying to "ski" off of stuff.

Scott's favorite part of the trip: birds in the face.

Loon Family Outing

GG is a very engaging reader. She had Kyle giggling for 20 min.
with one book.

Worn out from a week of swimming, Kyle naps
with his new friends from Grandma E.

Quick stop at Mt. Rushmore on the way home.

Oh, the Badlands, too. Kyle being investigated by Dragonflies

Kyle's favorite part of the trip (he was asleep 1 minute
after finishing his ice cream!)

Mexico

Ready for some fun in the sun (after the hour wait for customs!)

Kyle was in his suit within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel.

Don't let the clean plate fool you. Kyle ate pancakes, chips, fries
watermelon and chocolate milk, and not a lot of them at that!

Kyle is ready for senior year.

The outdoor bathtub on our patio was one of Kyle's
favorite features.

Oh yeah, he ate a lot of ice cream, too.

So adorable. Kyle, too.

Synchronized swimming.

Synchronized napping.

Thanksgiving in Hawaii

We spent a week on Maui for Thanksgiving this year with the
whole Hampel family. Kyle loved the beach and the pool. Could
have spent the whole time tearing down sand castles.

Kyle loved the leis and the hula girls. Had to hold him back
jumping up to dance with them a few times.

Gorgeous place to frolic in the waves.

Boys got their golf on.

Grandma Ferne & Kyle trading hats on the volcano.

Say Ahhhh.

We really got to experience the whole "Rainbow State" thing.

Karen overcomes her fear of going downhill quickly for a little
zipline adventure.

Thanksgiving at the Grand Wailea. There were actually people
lining up to take pictures at the end of this pool. We thought
the side angle was pretty darn gorgeous, too.

Way too much fun in the lazy river.

Kyle ready to surf.
