Mexico

Ready for some fun in the sun (after the hour wait for customs!)

Kyle was in his suit within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel.

Don't let the clean plate fool you. Kyle ate pancakes, chips, fries
watermelon and chocolate milk, and not a lot of them at that!

Kyle is ready for senior year.

The outdoor bathtub on our patio was one of Kyle's
favorite features.

Oh yeah, he ate a lot of ice cream, too.

So adorable. Kyle, too.

Synchronized swimming.

Synchronized napping.

A boy can never have too many hats.

Thanksgiving in Hawaii

We spent a week on Maui for Thanksgiving this year with the
whole Hampel family. Kyle loved the beach and the pool. Could
have spent the whole time tearing down sand castles.

Kyle loved the leis and the hula girls. Had to hold him back
jumping up to dance with them a few times.

Gorgeous place to frolic in the waves.

Boys got their golf on.

Grandma Ferne & Kyle trading hats on the volcano.

Say Ahhhh.

We really got to experience the whole "Rainbow State" thing.

Karen overcomes her fear of going downhill quickly for a little
zipline adventure.

Thanksgiving at the Grand Wailea. There were actually people
lining up to take pictures at the end of this pool. We thought
the side angle was pretty darn gorgeous, too.

Way too much fun in the lazy river.

Kyle ready to surf.

Anniversary in Santa Fe

Here we are, six years in. Sorry for all of the artsy pics, but it was such a
beautiful weekend, the outdoors beckoned to be shot!

Fall Fun

We did the Susan G. Komen walk for the cure this year.
The highlight for Kyle was definitely the train ride down.

Ready to walk. It really was a very moving experience.

We made it the whole mile of the family walk!

It was a beautiful 80 degree day for pumpkin hunting.

Kyle's first pony ride went pretty well.

Grandma Elaine came for a great visit and survived the
terrible twos all over again.

We carved some lovely pumpkins with Kyle's help.

Our neighbor, Ned, bought a new raft so Kyle
got in some practice for next year's adventures.

River Rat

Halloween Dragon, Kyle loved his candy until it made him
sick one night. Nothing like a little natural consequences
to drive home a life lesson.

Kyle and Scott getting ready for the lantern walk at his
preschool.

Kyle has been helpful with the leaves!

Our Halloween dragon doing a little dancing.

A new classic, the first 20 seconds accomplish the laughter,
the rest is just Kyle and his own rendition of Hey Jude!

Miscellaneous Cuteness

Visit from Uncle Matt

Rocky Mountain Camping

Great campsite, thanks Ryan Blake!

Cutest bedhead ever! (Beckett, not Jorg)

India is anxious to hit the trail!

The blondes definitely had more fun on this trip.

Kyle is a trooper, but was probably ready for a nap on this one!

Our new tent was very snuggly, we've since upgraded to a
bigger model to accomodate Elsa's bed!

Kyle is tired of being a passenger. We're ready for
backpacking next year.
