4th of July

We spent most of the 4th working on the house, but we got out for a fancy fried chicken dinner at White Fence Farm and Kyle got some exercise running down our block. The video is long, but hilarious!

More Pics

Just some recent photos to keep people entertained!

He's very into playing in his crib these days.
We can easily spend 10 minutes hanging out
after nap time giggling like mad.

We're trying to get out on the bikes more. As you can see,
Kyle was very excited about his new helmet. It did not last long as it kept falling in his face.

Kyle is obsessed with water in any form.

I'm a model, you know what I mean.

Kyle & Rowan, going nowhere, but loving the ride.

Kyle's First Camping Trip

Our first camping trip with Kyle was canceled after about 20 hours due to rain, but Kyle loved the great outdoors regardless!

Birthday #1

Kyle had a lot of fun with his extended first birthday, his mom's preferred style of celebration. He went out for Gingerbread pancakes in the morning and visited the park. Grandma & Grandpa Hampel were around to open some presents. We wrapped up with a birthday trip to the zoo a few days later. Can't believe he's a year, although he's starting to act like he's two!

Finally, the carousel!

Sea Island, GA

Scott was invited to attend his company's Chairman's Club retreat at luxurious Sea Island, GA last week. Grandma Elaine joined us so she could watch Kyle while mom & dad enjoyed the swanky digs. I think Kyle ended up having the most fun as he got to practice his walking, play in numerous fountains and hit the beach. Tons of fun stuff for little boys!

Is he talking to Snow White?

Lovin' the beach!

We let Kyle go for an impulse swim and he quite enjoyed it. The fountain was the highlight, although he didn't figure out how to avoid getting wet by it until the next day!

We were stuck in the Savannah airport for about four hours. Kyle was a trooper except for the last 20 min. of the flight to Chicago, which just happened to coincide with bedtime. He was very creative in keeping himself, and mom, entertained. This is definitely one of our favorite Kyle videos to date.
